Implementation of quotas in private sector urged

HYDERABAD: The “Round Table on Reservations in the Private Sector’’ held by Praja Mitra, a social organisation, today urged that they be implemented immediately.

Speaking on the occasion, Praja Mitra president Sudershan Bharath alleged that governments had been dragging their feet on quotas in the private sector, and Telangana Vidyarthi Sangham president D Bhasker said implementation was the need of the hour as employment opportunities in the government sector were shrinking day by day.

Social activists D Venkatesam and D Yadagiri charged the state and Central governments with doing little to eradicate the caste system.
