On Wednesday, August 1st 2012 some more than 10,000 Dalit Christians and Dalit Muslims gathered, demonstrated and demanded for Scheduled Caste Status once again. Mr. Ali Anwar (Rajya Sabha MP ) and Mr. Yusuf Ansari, President, Action Party also participated.
Jesus Christ crucified once only but the Christians Dalit and Muslim Dalit are crucified daily in India by denying their SC status by the central Govt. The Constitution (Schedule Castes) Order 1950 does not allow SC Status to Muslim & Christians Dalits. This demonstration was done at Janatr-Mantar to protest UPA govt's discriminatory policy.
