AMP Delhi Chapter Conducts Its Highly Successful Meeting



New Delhi, 16 September 2012:


Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) Delhi Chapter organized a meeting today for its key members and associates attending from all over Delhi and other northern cities. The meet was organized for its members coming from different parts of the North India to interact, network and have a better understanding of the organization and its objectives. Mr. Zafarul Islam Khan, President, All India Muslim Majlise Mushawarat (AIMMM) was invited as guest speaker to motivate and guide the members and help them get a deep insight as to how each one can work better towards the upliftment of the community and the betterment of the society and the nation.


The program was started with Tilawat of Quran and AMP Delhi Chapter Coordinator, Altamash Mohammed warmly welcomed the guests and participants and gave them a information on the objective of the meeting and gave brief introduction about AMP.


Aamir Idrisi, President, Association of Muslim Professionals said that “AMP is a fast growing NGO which aims towards working for Peace and Progress within the society and nation. He also explained the way it functions and its goals and objectives. The idea was also to make them aware of the history of AMP and the various Milestones achieved over a period of time and give them a deep insight into the working of the organization and how it’s various tasks can be replicated in the other parts of the country. More than 60 key AMP members and associates (all professionals from different fields) participated in the meeting in which few members have come from different cities like Gorakhpur, Aligarh, Bareli, Badohi, Jaipur, Jhunjhunu, Swai Madhav Pur, Noida and Faizabad etc. The meeting was organized at the AIMMM office in Abul Fazal Enclave, Okhla, New Delhi.


Speaking to the participants in his key note address, Dr. Zafarul Islam Khan, President, AIMMM, said that educated Muslim Youth should raise above their personal interest and work for the community and the nation. In his detailed and discerning speech he elaborated that there are ample opportunities for Muslims to progress in a democratic setup. He said that opportunities are equally available for a person irrespective of his creed or religion and it is up to him how he can utilize the best of those opportunities.


The sessions also included Brain-storming and Group Discussions among the participants on various activities of AMP which was conducted by Syed Raghib, who is AMP National Coordination Team Member and Research Scholar.

The meeting was highly successful and well-appreciated by the honorary guests and each and every participant who went back with fond memories and a resolve to work for the betterment of the community, the society and the entire mankind.
